Greeting from all of us at Fox Ridge,  

 We are getting our letter out a bit late this year, as it seems there are just not enough hours in the day to get everything done.  Preseason is almost on top of us, and as many of you know we are still looking for new members.  Times are tight for everyone it seems, and we want you to know how much we appreciate your business and that we will do all we can to give you the best hunts we can offer.

            Cover:  The cover is looking good so far.  There were some issues with the seed company sending us improperly treated product for our herbicides. In spite of that it has recovered well enough to make for decent cover for this winter.  Once again we have made some changes to many of the strips throughout the farm by widening them.  This should provide wider winter cover in many of our larger areas.

The fall grass cover is also looking very nice with all the rain we received this summer.  As always some fields are better than others. Also, where we had the logging done last year, the cover is already starting to increase, look for some good thick brush hunting.

Season Information:  Preseason begins Saturday August 28^th with hens at $12 and chukars at $10.   Regular season hunting starts September 15^th and ends on St. Patrick's Day March 17^th as always.  Open hunting runs all season and ends March 31^st.  We will be closed entirely November 18^th through 28^th for deer hunting season, and there will be no bird releases December 24^th through the 26^th for Christmas, and one or two possible dates in January that will be posted on the website if they occur.

Bird Prices:  All pricing will remain the same this year.  Extra birds are $16 each for straight run, roosters are $19, hens only are $13, chukars $11

Large quantity bird release packages: Packaged hunts for our members. 50-74 birds at $14.50 each ($725), 75-99 birds at $13.50 each ($1012.50), and 100-399 birds at $13 each ($1300) 400 or more call for arrangements.  (prices are subject to late season release fees).

This includes no guest fees for up to 10 people, and use of several hunting areas on the farm.  All birds used in the package must be released the same day, and none of the birds will count toward your membership. (no bank birds) 

Again this year we are offering the 20 bird release discount package. It is a one day 20 bird single release hunt for $280. This package will only be available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays that we normally release birds starting September 15^th and ending February 24^th, and these 20 birds will apply to your bank. 

Don’t forget that you can use any package in conjunction with our $10 per person lodging as well to make an enjoyable outing for a weekend, or weekday.

Hunting Rules:     We are looking forward to having another outstanding season with your help, so as always our main rules are as follows.  Everyone is to wear orange while hunting.  No orange, no hunting.  No beer or alcohol before or during hunting.  No hunting from the roads (on or off the farm) Equally as important, all hunters must stay in their designated hunting areas.  We would like to thank you in advance for abiding by our rules. This provides a safer hunt and more enjoyable outing for everyone.

            Hopefully this finds everyone well and as always hope to see you early in the season.  We will do our best to make this a great season in spite of what our cover may be, or how deep the snow is.
